field trip

I seem to always have questions on here but I was somewhat thinking about my Belief and Understanding paper and I just wanted to know if we add to our old paper or do we start fresh? anyone know?

Leslie and I got to go on a our kids field-trip on Friday and it was an experience. I felt like I learned a lot about my kids outside of the classroom. It was also great to see how my teacher handled the children not in school. So if any of you guys have the chance to go on a field-trip, I would recommend going because it is a great experience.

HOORAY! WE SURVIVED THE PRAXIS 11.

Chloe.
That is SUPER exciting that you got to go on a field trip. I would love to see how classroom management works when the class is on a field trip. I am sure it can be very difficult to keep the kids under control in a public place. Hopefully when student teaching we all will have a chance to do that!

I agree with Chloe. It was a great opportunity to see how a field trip runs. At this specific field trip Parents did not go to help out because the One Room School was small. I think that this field trip was much more controlled than some! But overall it was great!

I am also jealous you were able to go on a fieldtrip! When I asked my cooperating teacher about the fieldtrip's taken in Kindergarten she says that so many of her student's parents want to come with she has to have them switch off field trips. This showed me that Edgewood is great with parental involvement and that the student in my classroom have parents that are extremely supportive of their education. I also noticed this when I saw how many parents ordered books for their children through book orders, giving their children the support they need when they are just learning to read!

I also am somewhat unsure of how much of our old beliefs and understandings paper we should include in our new papers. I feel like so many of my ideas have changed, but i don't necesarily disagree with everything in my old paper. I am struggling with what I still agree with and what I now disagree with from my old paper.
